Connection Youth Group
Youth Ministries @ MBC focuses on how we can know God in an intimate and authentic way. In an interactive, high-energy, technological environment we seek to take on head first the struggles of today’s youth. Young people, seventh grade to twelfth grade, are challenged to seek the power and love of God through fellowship and biblical instruction. The vision for 2009 is to become a Creative Great Commission Community. We are striving to have all youth involved to be a part of small groups and have a mentor to help guide them through these tough years in life.
Connection Wednesday 6-7:30pm - Christ has said in the Word of God that he came that we might have life and that more abundantly. He came that we might have “The Good Life.” In this discourse Christ connects this abundant life with the fact that He is The Good Shepard. This spring we will be exploring how Christ’s claim as the Good Shepard is flushed out in the life of our youth today. Mainly we will be studying how Christ can Shepard us through our struggles with value, purpose and confidence in order that we ourselves may truly experience the good life that is found only in Him.
Real Time Sunday 9:00-10:00am How do you walk the walk you talk? That is the question the Senior High group is exploring during Real Time every Sunday morning at MBC. We are currently gleaning from the book of Ephesians as Paul lays down both doctrine and duty. In the coming weeks we will be moving into a study on faithfulness through the books of 1 & 2 Timothy and Titus. The Jr. High are walking through the bible as they follow the Abecka curriculum.
